It was a very old warehouse that we were trying to modernize but at the same time it was a working warehouse because it was Christmas time and the warehouse was a distributor of cards and gifts, so some things had to take a back burner until after the Christmas rush. Well so they thought . It was a December evening and everybody was tired but rushing to get the orders out on time . Many of the workers had done a ten hour shift. The fork Lift driver was reversing out of one of the picking isle. Unfortunately, he did not see the guy sweeping up and he hit him and knocked him to the floor and carried on reversing. It was not until another colleague saw him and shouted out that he actually realized and stop the fork lift truck. Our colleague was rushed to hospital and has never been back to work since. The company was visited by many Officials and it was recommended
